Final Fantasy X is Coming to PlayStation Vita and PS3 in HD

(Image released for the PS Vita version of Final Fantasy X.)

It was announced this week, that the popular 2001 role-playing game Final Fantasy X is going to be upgraded to HD, being developed for both the PS3 and PS Vita. Square Enix considers the HD upgrade as a 10th anniversary present, but they haven't yet released sneak peeks of the PS3 version. The remake release date hasn't been said yet, although they did mention the Vita would come out before the PS3 version. - Also, they said that the specs to run the game would be quite similar to the 2001 version, which is great news!

  1. FFX was the last "good" final fantasy game I played... And why would they remake and port this one to PS3? Why not FF7?

  3. Hah, releasing it for vita before PS3 gives more incentive to buy the vita!

Also, Vita is going to be 100% region free. If you get the japanese Vita (released earlier), you can still play games released anywhere!

  7. Ha, the last FF I played was 6. I never had a PSX of my own... I guess I should emulate it asap!

  8. Square Enix has a funny way of deciding which games need remakes. While I don't have anything against FFX, why do they keep remaking FFXIII? It wasn't very good, IMO.
